Jacquelyn Reeves
Jacquelyn Reeves is Director of Reeves Inter Cultural based in Berlin, Germany. Her expertise includes relocation, transition and organizational training and consulting, as well as facilitation. She has trained in the field of intercultural and language learning for over ten years and is especially committed to teaching adults. Having lived in East Germany, Jacquelyn can be considered to have experience in a country that no longer exists!
Jacquelyn has created and delivered training programs in Germany and the US at Schering Pharmaceuticals, Fort Dodge Animal Health, Siemens, IBM and DekraAkademie. She was the creator and founder of the first long-term English language program at the BMW motorcycle factory in Berlin, Germany.
Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, USA, Jacquelyn has an MS in Adult Education and a BA in German Literature, Language and History. She is fluent in English and German, and has a working knowledge of Spanish, French and Italian. She is certified to administer the Intercultural Developmental Inventory (IDI) and has participated in seminars offered through the Intercultural Institute (ICI) and The Interchange Institute.
An adventuresome and empathetic spirit combined with an early curiosity about different kinds of people have prepared Jacquelyn for the work she does today. Because she moved to Germany without the kind of help she now provides and has experienced both an immersion in a foreign culture and the reverse culture shock of returning home, she can truly tell her training participants, “I have been there.”
Jacquelyn is a member of SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research) Europa and the cultural correspondent for ArgonautOnline.
